IML is at UQ but the mandarin course is external. Our teacher was trying to get IML to start a class with only asians. So trying to spread the word and get enough ppl to make it happen.
Very casual.....just talk randomly most of the time keke...
cost is about $300 for full yr
once a week, 2hrs each time March 22 mandarin mandarinhad my first IML mandarin class for the yr....and the ppl are so very interesting..we have ppl who have been all over Asia...aussies who speak absolutely fluent mandarin...but somehow only me who's cantonese...u wonder where all the cantonese speakers are kekeke...should b a good yr... ^^" March 18 Good walks...Had a few good walks in the last few days....
On thursday, felt tired after work and guilty for not going to gym, so called up phoenix for a walk. My routine walks along the river....one very great thing to do...feel so refreshed afterwards....around sunset....light breeze...rolling waves....and gorgeous houses...$3.8mil according to phoenix...gosh...house prices these days!!...
On friday, nite walk at southbank with linds...actually very nice...and then sitting and chatting at a cafe...very simple ... but that is all i need to be happy...had such a great time  March 14 Work and life balanceWent to the ICAA event today representing vxpartner...wagged uni to go to it...it was fun at first but then got reali repetitive towards the end....saying the same things over and over...keke
We went out for dinner afterwards...Kapsalis in southbank...quite nice greek food...well worth a try...but beware...massive massive servings even for guys who eat like buckets of food haha!!!....girls...dun even try 1 per person!!
My boss brought up the issue of work and life balance. She was saying how life balance is so very important. Being as successful as she is, young, done well in her career, i respect her alot and what she says. In her 20s, she worked like 16 hr days and got shitloads of money, but yet even she says she lost that life balance. One may be very successful workwise but lose out on many other things. Yet there are those who have the life balance and are not no. 1 in what they do. So where is this middle ground?...reali begin to wonder....

felt so tired when i got bak
and a tired it night followed by an early morning to drop my car in for a change of the transmission...they told me they'd give me a replacement car...and i was having high hopes of an integra or watever..coz the last time i got a replacement car, i got a mini, and checkered top too!!... in the end, more realistically they gave me a jazz...silver this time...so a change i suppose...but 8am drop off...my gosh..its early!!
and will need to collect my car tmr too at 7am...geez...u wonder why the whole world operates so early.... March 09 EQ and IQ testPplz....
There's a pretty good EQ test online. It dun take that long...pretty good too...from wat i've done of it anywaiz....its not one of those stupid ones that get you nowhere...

Thanx everyone for such a gorgeous day...wouldn't've happened the way it did if it wasn't for everyone's help...i dunno how to be more grateful other than...thanx thanx thanx....
BBQ turned out very well....before it all happened...there was so much to worry about. The rain all week, what if it storms...what if it rains. Perhaps mouse year still brings me a bit of luck...it was cloudy all day and little sprinkles now and then...but when it came to the few hrs of my bbq...no rain watsoever!!! and funnily enough when the party ended, just as everyone left and everything was cleaned up, it massively poured!!!!
The morning rolled out slowly, woke up, went to shop for the bbq, pick up some things by my cousins and mimi's place, get cake, and still managed to sleep for an hr ... i was so tired for some reason kekeke
Phoenix came by to setup the bbq and setup me ... yellow eyeshadow ahhaha....very funny process...
and yes...never trust salespeople...when i bought the bbq...the sales person said to me (i quote) 'its very easy, it'll take you 15 mins to screw it up'...it took an 1hr, the efforts of both me and phoenix, and a lot of commonsense!!
Everyone started rolling in at about 4:30pm...and as usual cindy is very unorganised ... still running around getting things started...leaving ppl stranded in my house...so very sorry ...
and finally everyone was here...eat eat eat, drink drink drink...so much left over too...looks like chicken will be dinner for the coming weeks >.< ....

^^" March 04 2nd March 2006on 2nd March..something very surprising happened...i was at work..quite tired and out of it yet still kept working...around 11...Ken (my manager) came out with a cake and everyone started singing happy bday to me...it was so very sweet and soo very nice of them...absolutely unexpected....totally out of the blue...didnt even know wat to say or how to react... >.<
at nite saw brokeback mountain....it got so many golden globes i thought it would be a movie really worth watching...and indeed it was a good movie...but really got quite graphic at some scenes....and makes u feel sorta uncomfortable...
 ...dinner and chat chat chat....always nice to chat along with friends no matter where and when...one of the things i enjoy most...
home and got the 1st (early) happy birthday from a friend...very touched that ppl remember....can make me smile all day keke March 01 last few daysthe last few days have been a blast....so much to prepare...and its just a bday...and thank god i was a bit earlier this year...starting a week b4...instead of the 3 days notice like last yr
...everyone has been awesome...offering me help in every single way...really really great ... to be stuck on something and next minute i receive a call from someone fixing it up for me...being reminded of things i would never think of...reali touched by the power of friendship...will pay a special tribute to all helping hands!!! keep my word for that!
first week of uni...and once again it felt so very 1st yr....everywhere u look, it feels as tho everyone is 1st yr except for me--5TH YEAR!!!...geez...dun i feel OLD!!!!..ahahha...this yr is a bit different too...seeing less of my friends around...each yr 1st week is bumping into all sorts of ppl....even those that never go to uni...and this yr...they appear less and less...reali makes u think how much of my fds have already graduated......gone....and pursuing life beyond uni....scary thought...but reality... -___-
entirely out of the blue...but lunch/coffee on Sunday after getting the BBQs and chairs was quite something...quite funny if i come think of it....signals....the way i operate...hehehe...definitely learnt alot kekek...
